Gwenna Hunter is an activist who champions the rights of human and nonhuman animals. She helps distribute meals and groceries throughout Los Angeles by working with local organizations, and in 2022 she founded Vegans of LA Food Bank, the first all-vegan food bank in the city.

Brazil’s Department of Animal Protection, Defense and Rights was created in January 2023 to coordinate and develop policies and programs aimed at animal protection, defense, and rights.
